London Campus
Welcome to Orange Seeds Montessori London
At our Montessori daycare, we offer more than child care — we provide the education your child deserves, helping children 18 months to 6 years grow with confidence, independence, and a lifelong love of learning.
Our Toddler and Preschool programs are guided by Montessori-trained educators who nurture each child at their own pace, supporting their curiosity and natural desire to learn. With small class sizes, flexible full-time and part-time schedules, and complimentary before- and after-care, we make it easier for families to find the balance they need.
Beyond the classroom, children benefit from our full-size gym and Montessori sports program, where they build strength, balance, and coordination through fun movement activities. These experiences foster teamwork, resilience, and confidence while supporting their overall development.
In our bright, thoughtfully prepared classrooms and natural playground, children feel safe, supported, and inspired to explore the world around them every day.

Our Montessori daycare FAQ is designed to help families understand our programs, daily routines, and what makes Orange Seeds Montessori London a nurturing childcare environment for children 12 months to 6 years.
-
We welcome children from 18 months to 6 years old, offering developmentally tailored Montessori programs at each stage. Each program supports growing independence, language development, early numeracy, social skills, and a strong love of learning.
While we do not have a separate infant classroom, we accept a limited number of children from 12 months who are developmentally ready to join our Toddler program. To make sure it’s the right fit, we invite families to book a play session with us. During this visit, our teachers gently observe your child in the classroom environment, looking at factors like mobility, readiness for group routines, and comfort exploring materials. This helps us ensure your child can thrive in our London Montessori daycare setting from the very beginning.
-
Our daily rhythm provides structure while allowing toddlers and preschoolers to explore at their own pace. A typical day includes:
Warm drop-off and greeting
Breakfast
Uninterrupted Montessori work cycle, where children choose activities that match their developmental readiness
Morning snack
Outdoor play, gross-motor activities, and nature exploration
Nutritious hot lunch
Nap or quiet rest time, depending on age
Afternoon Extracurricular activities (Music, Movement, STEM, Art, etc)
Outdoor time and pick-up
This natural flow helps children feel secure, focused, and energized throughout the day.
-
We offer extended daycare hours to support working families, typically 7:30 AM–5:30 PM. Families may choose from full-time or part-time enrolment options depending on program availability. Part-time schedules may include 2-day, 3-day, or 4-day options.
-
We understand how emotional the first days can be—for both children and parents. To make this transition gentle and positive, we follow a gradual, individualized transition plan.
On the first days, your child stays with us for about one hour, so they can slowly get used to the classroom, teachers, and routine while knowing you are coming back soon. We then discuss with you how your child is doing and gradually increase the number of hours over the next visits until they are ready to stay for a full day.
Our Montessori teachers are welcoming, supportive, and nurturing. They greet each child warmly, offer comfort and reassurance, and gently invite them to explore activities that match their interests—whether it’s pouring, puzzles, stories, or practical life work. The environment is calm and predictable, which helps children feel safe and build trust.
Throughout this process, we keep open communication with parents, letting you know how your child is settling in and working together to make the transition as smooth and reassuring as possible. Most children gain confidence quickly once they feel secure in their new Montessori environment.
-
We believe communication builds trust. Families receive:
Updates through our parent app (photos, daily notes, reminders)
Information about meals, naps, diapering, and activities
Direct messages when needed
Friendly end-of-day conversations at pick-up
You always know how your child’s day is going and what they’re learning.
-
Yes—nutritious meals and snacks are provided daily, following a dietitian-approved menu. We happily accommodate allergies, sensitivities, vegetarian diets, cultural preferences, and other dietary requirements. Safety is always our priority, and each child’s needs are clearly communicated to all teaching staff.
-
Orange Seeds Montessori London is a fully licensed Montessori daycare, approved by the Ontario Ministry of Education. We follow the Ministry of Education requirements to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment for every child.
In our Toddler classroom, the ratio is 1 teacher for every 5 children (5:1).
In our Preschool/Casa classroom, the ratio is 1 teacher for every 8 children (8:1).
These small group sizes allow our educators to truly get to know each child, observe them closely, guide them gently, and support their unique Montessori journey.
-
We meet each child exactly where they are developmentally.
Naps: Children rest on individual cots in a peaceful, supervised environment.
Diapers: We follow each child’s routine with sensitivity and maintain excellent hygiene practices.
Toilet Learning: When children are ready, teachers use a calm, supportive
Montessori approach to help them build independence without pressure.
-
Montessori classrooms are naturally inclusive. Teachers observe each child’s learning style and adapt lessons to match their strengths and pace. We partner with families and specialists when needed and create an environment where every child feels capable, included, and supported.
-
Yes. Our classrooms are led by a team of Registered Early Childhood Educators (RECEs) and qualified Montessori teachers. Our RECEs are licensed professionals who meet provincial standards for child development, safety, and curriculum, while our Montessori teachers are trained in the Montessori method and experienced in guiding children through hands-on, independent learning. Together, they create a warm, structured, and nurturing daycare environment where your child can learn, grow, and feel genuinely supported every day.
-
At this time, our London daycare is not supported by the CWELCC (Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care) program and operates as a full-fee private Montessori daycare.
The CWELCC program is managed by each regional government, which follows Ministry of Education guidelines to decide which childcare centres are included. We have applied to join the program, but unfortunately our London daycare was not selected.
Even without CWELCC funding, we remain a licensed, high-quality Montessori centre, committed to small ratios, trained educators, and a rich learning environment. We’re always happy to speak with families about fees, tax credits, and any available supports to help make childcare more affordable.
